Privacy Policy

NetworkTools does not require an account to use its calculators. We use Google AdSense to support the site and Google Analytics to understand general site usage, so Google services may use cookies or similar technology when you visit.
The short version
There is no NetworkTools user-profile or calculation-history database. Values you submit to a calculator are processed to return the requested result. Our hosting and security providers may keep normal server logs. Google AdSense may process information for ad delivery and measurement, and Google Analytics may process site-usage information such as page visits, device/browser details and general interaction data.
Calculator inputs
When you select Calculate, the values in that tool are sent to the NetworkTools PHP server so it can perform the calculation and return a result. NetworkTools does not intentionally save those entries to a user account or personal calculation history.
Do not enter passwords, private keys, authentication tokens, customer records, confidential credentials or other sensitive information into the tools.
Server and hosting logs
Like most sites, the web server, hosting company, CDN, firewall or security service may record technical details such as IP address, date and time, browser information, requested page, referrer and error or security events. Those records are generally used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the site. Retention depends on the provider and its configuration.
Google Analytics
NetworkTools uses Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, such as which pages are visited, how visitors move through the site, and general device or browser information. This helps us see which tools and guides are useful and where the site may need improvement.
Our Google Analytics measurement ID is G-91TVQLL8RK. Google may use cookies or similar technologies as part of Analytics. Information handled by Google is subject to Google's privacy terms and controls.
Google AdSense
NetworkTools uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and other advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, limit repeated ads, prevent fraud and, when permitted, personalize advertising based on activity on this and other sites.
Google explains how information from sites and apps that use its services is handled on its partner-sites information page and in the Google Privacy Policy.
Cookies and advertising choices
Cookies are small pieces of browser storage. NetworkTools does not require an account cookie for its calculators, but Google AdSense, Google Analytics and other services involved in delivering the site may use cookies or similar storage.
You can manage Google ad personalization in My Ad Center. Your browser also lets you delete or block cookies, although doing so may change how some ads or site features behave.
Consent and regional privacy choices
Privacy rules vary by location. Depending on where you live, the site or its advertising platform may show a consent message or privacy-choice control for personalized advertising, targeted advertising, cookies, or the sale or sharing of information as those terms are defined by local law. Use the controls shown to you to make the choices available in your region.
Do we sell personal information?
NetworkTools does not sell a visitor list or user-account database for money. Advertising activity can still fall within legal definitions of “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or “sale” in some jurisdictions. Where those rules apply, appropriate choices should be offered through the site’s advertising or consent controls.
Network News and RSS feeds
The Network News page retrieves public RSS or Atom feeds from selected networking, infrastructure and cybersecurity publishers on the server side. NetworkTools displays headlines, short excerpts, dates and source attribution, then links you to the publisher for the full article. We do not embed publisher advertising or tracking images from those feeds.
If you choose an external news link, you leave NetworkTools and the destination site may collect information under its own privacy policy.
Other providers
The site may use providers for hosting, DNS, content delivery, security and advertising. Those companies may process the technical information needed to provide their services and are also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Children
NetworkTools is a technical utility intended for network engineering, IT and operations work. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information through the site.
Changes
If we materially change how the site handles information—for example by adding accounts, stored history, file uploads or another analytics or advertising provider—we will update this page and revise the date above.
